Savagepunk 2020

An aside: The "best" thing about Savage Worlds is how easy it makestitling blog posts. Just add Savage to front of things, or swap outwords for Savage. I'm so glad the game wasn't named "Buttweasel Worlds".

We used to have this MOC campaign... it was a Cyberpunk 2020 campaign withrandom craziness furnished via Morton's List. I loved that campaign, but it had one problem: the PCs had to be total freakin' cowards. Wewere a freakin' booster gang, and the sort of nutcases happy to puttheir lives in the hands of the Morton Boulder as a weeklysemi-religious experience - those characters shouldn't be cowards! Butwe were dirt poor gangers, and the CP2020 system isn't kind to thosewho can't afford armor, so we had to play cowards or die repeatedly. Wedidn't end up dying...

While talking today, Sarah and I lamentedthe passing of that game, and she mentioned that it bugged her that wewere such scaredy cats. In her experience, she maintains, CP2020 ain'tthat lethal. But she'd played mostly in high school, with power gamersand munchkins, where subdermal armor, skinweave, and metalgear wouldfrequently all end up on the same PC. Short of that kind of abuse ofthe layering system (which our poor gangers couldn't afford), headshots are nearly always lethal in CP2020, and 10% of hits areheadshots. Bravery gets you killed in Cyberpunk.

The otherproblem with CP2020 is how long it takes to build a character (PC orNPC). Even if you just need the random chombatta in an alley, he needscyberoptions, weaponry, and the SP values for every limb. It's a fun, gritty system, but it's a big pain in the ass to improvise.

Aswe discussed those truths, our eyes collectively lit up. Savage Worldscould get us back the MOC campaign concept without having to playcowards or deadmen. We've got recent experience with a very flexiblegeneric system, with low PC lethality and very simple NPC statimprovisation.

Everway Realm Index - Alphabetical

Below is an alphabetical index of all the Everway Realms that Sarah and I made for our old campaign. Each Realm has a post on this blog, corresponding to the page about that location that we gave to the players in our campaign. In addition, some Realms have multiple pages, either GM secrets, or additional player hand-outs. Every player got a big binder with 30+ pages of info. These Realms were used for the background of PCs and NPCs, plus plenty of clues were hidden in the binders as well - some hidden too well. It'd be fair to say the campaign was a tad bit overproduced, but it was fun.
Special bonuses: Two Realms we never made. Add to that this partial realm that never made it into the campaign: Pleasure In Communion. Lastly, here's a Formatting Example to help you understand the other entries - though I bet you can figure them out yourself.

Boundless GM Full Disclosure

Below is Sarah's first draft of the secrets of Boundless, the Realm that infamously filled about half the length of the campaign. The previously idyllic vacation spot was a bit different 28 days later...

Boundless (City, Realm) - GM Full Disclosure

Something has gone terribly wrong here. And recently. One day, a mummy wandered through the gate into town. Within a month, the entire Realm was vacated by the living, and the dead now live here. It started with a young apprentice of a great magician. The two of them lived in the Great Tower of Yew. This young man, Prince of Cups, found the mummy and took him in. His master, Grumpy Yew Pentacle, was away on business. The mummy inspired such great ideas in Prince of Cups, that he felt he had to harness this life-giving magic. He started with pets that had died, moved on to extinct animals within a week (including a kind of ferocious wolf), and eventually brewed up a grand spell that raised all remaining dead things in Boundless. It is a permanent spell, of magic level 10 (Prince of Cups was a level 6 magic practitioner until he achieved this spell). It creates an undead life in anything that dies in Boundless, and the creature then needs to feed on living flesh to maintain what little life it has. Most visitors to Boundless did not get away alive. The few dozen that did, cannot accurately explain what happened.

Prominent NPC’s: Grumpy Yew Pentacle, Life’s Flavor, Flaming Breakfast, Tadpole, Script Bearing Maker of Chocolate

Gates & Bordering Realms: 6 gates.

Boundless (City, Realm)

An Everway Realm created by Sarah.

Boundless (City, Realm)
This is one of those places that everyone talks about, but you’ve just never gotten around to. They have beaches, great cuisine, entertainment, and cheap magic. The residents of this Realm specialize in their professions, but they give away samples for just a few beads. Bring a large strand, and you could have the peninsula to yourself for an evening! Other sights include a great tower that overlooks the entire Realm, right in the middle of the circle of gates in to the Realm. It is said to be one of the most amazing structures ever to see. And don’t miss the largest, most ancient cemetery you’ve every seen! It’s just a breath away from the circle of gates.

Usurper Force: ???
Normal: ??? Inverted: ???

People: The people here love magic and fun. There are not many high level mages, so the few high level teachers that live here, run the place. The population’s main excitements are over-the-top entertainment and great food. People here live each day as if it were special, and enjoy each moment.

Economy: The tourist population is high due to the number of gates here. Beads are the only currency here, and they are spent quickly. As the usual stay here is 7 days, each person, visiting or living here, is expected to work 3 shifts from dawn till dusk, or dusk till dawn and the other 4 days are theirs to do as they please.

Ecology: This peninsula is lightly forested and a little hilly, with a small island off the east coast. The Realm is populated with an incredibly high number of bird species that vary from Storks and Parrots, to Humming birds and Dodos. The peninsula itself has been described by sailors as being ‘beak-shaped’, or ‘like a bird’s beak that is about to catch it’s prey’.

The Death Rose (rose): This beautiful black rose tends to grow over graves, though it has been seen on occasion in other places. It has a musk scent that permeates the immediate area. In times of great loss, the scent can carry quite a distance, reminding the people of Boundless that life is not forever.

Prominent NPC’s: Life’s Flavor, Flaming Breakfast, Tadpole, Script Bearing Maker of Chocolate

Well-known Institutions: The Great Tower of Yew, The Cemetery of Time

Gates & Bordering Realms: 5+ gates.

Foamy Falls (Small Village)

A village (created by Sarah) in an Everway Realm she created

Foamy Falls (Small Village, in the Realm of Grand Pelt)
See also ‘Grand Pelt’, ‘Spider Legs’, and ‘Gorilla Hide’

Foamy Falls is a small village to the NORTHEAST of the great city of Grand Pelt. The only stream that runs through the land starts here and flows from a rocky ledge just 50 feet above the city. Soapberry trees thrive at the water’s edge, constantly growing their branches over the water. When the fruit drops, some fall into the water and a cleansing foam is created.

People: The village has less than 200 people as most of the men are recruited by the leaders from Grand Pelt. Only those who serve poorly are sent home to find brides and have families. The leader of this small village has long been of the opinion that the village suffers as the land does now; however, the villagers are powerless to do anything about it.

Economy: Soap Fruit from the Soapberry trees is a major commodity. It is exported to Grand Pelt throughout the fruit’s season, in exchange for a variety of things including grain, cloth, livestock, pelts, and the very men from the village of Foamy Falls that are recruited each year.

Ecology: The people of Foamy Falls cherish the few animals that live near the stream and when anything is cleaned at the water’s edge, special care is taken to not spook any wildlife. Several trees, bushes and undergrowth grow near the water. Fruit is more common here than in Grand Pelt, but only enough fruit grows to feed the village each fruit season.

Prominent NPC’s: Wise Elk, leader of the village of Foamy Falls

Grand Pelt (Large City, Realm)

An Everway Realm by Sarah...

Grand Pelt (Large City, Realm)
See also ‘Foamy Falls’, ‘Spider Legs’, and ‘Gorilla Hide’

The Realm of Grand Pelt is aggressive, and competitive. These folks see animals as objects to kill and wear. They gut them, skin them, and stuff them, all for the possession of the animal’s attributes, and very nearly their souls. They train their people for wars that will come, even when there is no conflict. Trade is high, as these people only act self-sufficient.

Usurper Force: Aggression
Normal: Passionate Anger
Inverted: Hot-Headed Actions

People: The people of this Realm revere animals and their powers. It is believed that whatever powers the animal had in it’s life, carried over to it’s death and remained in the animals pelt or skull. These people wear animal pelts to gain the power of the animals themselves, often for war purposes or just for status. Every animal has important attributes, from the small frog, to the puma, and none are made fun of.

Economy: This Realm is diverse in it’s economy, as they cannot grow food from the land any more and have hunted nearly all animals to extinction. Most families here have one or two members who are productive members of society, but they all specialize in taxidermy or weapon-smithing. Since the population of this Realm has no way to make weapons from scratch, they have gotten very good at improving existing items. The entire Realm relies on trade with newcomers to the area.

Military: The military here is extensive as most of the young men are drafted into the ranks at an early age, and families are eager to send them off. The military feeds, clothes, and houses it’s own, so once the kids go into the military, they are provided for, and no longer a burden to the family. The level of command you attain in the military is shown by the pelt you wear. The more prestigious the pelt, the higher you are. The pelt chosen for rank would be relative to the job performed. The cook would not wear the same kind of pelt as someone in infantry of the same rank.

Ecology: This Realm is really just one open plain with a hill in the center. That hill has the city of Grand Pelt on top of it. It has been walled in, and is easily fortified, ready to repel any invasion from outside forces. The surrounding plain has been trampled so much by troops learning and repeating formations that it no longer can grow any kind of food. The only trees in the area were cut down years ago to make weaponry of some sort. This is just one hot, desolate plain.

Barbed Beauty (rose): This lush red rose grows large, sharp thorns that run up and down the thick stems. These roses like to climb things, but do so in a tight weave, curling in and out of each other making knots of sorts. Their thorns are tough and sharp, curved at the very end so that if they get caught, they can’t be pulled straight out without injury to victim. Near the base of the rose bud, a cluster of small pin-like thorns can be found that are tightly nestled together. The tips come off easily and bury themselves in skin. The rose itself, has a fragrant scent that can be smelled for miles in a stiff breeze. It is the dominant plant wherever it chooses to grow. Insects flock to them first, and these roses flourish because of it.

Prominent NPC’s: Snake in the Grass, Zebra Stripe, Eyes of Night Wind, Soft Paws

Well-known Institutions: the Claw and Tooth tavern, the Barely Audible Hum of Autumn spear market, Skinner

Gates & Bordering Realms: 2 gates.

The Seeking (Small Village, Realm)

An Everway Realm by Sarah...

The Seeking (Small Village, Realm)
The Seeking is a lush Realm of trees, streams, and deadly purple plants. The people here are calm and meditative, and can offer sage advice for the pure of heart, or the desperately in need. They have quests of inner knowledge and charms that can kill.

Usurper Force: Void
Normal: Guidance
Inverted: Adrift

People: The people here pride themselves on spiritual guidance and visionary quests. Members of the village go on their first quest when they are 8 years old. They visit the largest pond in the land, to the west, just a short distance from the village itself. The child travels alone out to the pond and stays for 2 - 5 days, taking no food or water with him/her. The village is located in the eastern portion of the Realm, close to the coast, but villagers have scattered settlements to the south as well. The village elder makes all decisions for the small population and it’s visitors.

Economy: Lessons in spirituality are given freely, as is simple advice. Calming herbs, Luck charms, and Advice on life changing questions are given in exchange for trade. Prayer carvings are given to any visitor that travels through. A sphere-walker could receive from 1 to 20 carvings in one visit easily. It is speculated that if you visit The Seeking looking like you need guidance, you will get more carvings and advice than if you visit for the weather.

Military: None

Ecology: This is a lush coastal Realm full of tall, full trees, thick grasses, clear streams, and ponds that are so calm that they reflect every detail of the landscape around them. The majority of it’s land gently rolls, never making a mountain or a valley. The only mountains are to the North West and the surrounding areas make this location a valley itself, which makes it a great location for many streams. The sky, when not blocked by storm clouds, is always blue. Summer rains dominate a good part of the year, and winter storms coat the southern tree tops with snow. There aren’t any open fields here, as most locations without trees are dominated by tall bushes. There are no predatory animals here, and nearly all of the plants are edible. Nature has done a strange thing here, in fact. The only poisonous plant life here is purple, and that includes all form of flora, such as moss, lichens, grasses, barks, bushes, and flowers.

Tongue Petals (Rose): This rose is always white, with small petals coated in a fine pollen powder. The primary use of the Tongue Petals is for guidance. The people here in The Seeking, enjoy the taste of the pollen on the petals of this rose, and it is said that the sweetness of the pollen can put a mind in the right frame to receive visions. These roses are cultivated in beds, and grown for this purpose. The magenta-colored pistil and plum-colored stamen of the rose are dangerous, but they make great coloring for charms or can be used on arrow tips.

Gates & Bordering Realms: only one gate connecting to the Realm of Bess’s Nut. Bamboo City is to the North and this Realm can be reached by two major roads from Bamboo City.

Bamboo City (Realm, City)

An Everway Realm created by Sarah

Bamboo City (Realm, City)
This large city is filled with beauty and awe, but none of it comes from the structures themselves. It is the people who live here that provide the beauty you will experience here. Men and women dance by the moonlight, firelight, and sunlight, as they fight their way to fame, fortune, and honor. This is a city filled with fighting. These people have been learning the art of gracefully dueling since they were nearly infants, and they win prizes for it. Everyone here can stand their own ground, and they all know it too. Don’t worry about getting jumped in the street by someone you can't beat though! - that’s dishonorable. They’ll never challenge an outsider unless honor calls for it. Live by their rules and you’ll be fine.

Usurper Force: The Dancing Fight
Normal: Grace and Speed
Inverted: Lack of Coordination

People: Smooth fluid motions and physical strength and beauty are held in high regard. Fighting for honor is important. The most skilled and elegant fighters rule this serene place. Tournaments are held to determine a new ruler, whenever a member of the society challenges the current ruler.

Economy: The economy is based on weapon-smithing, movement lessons, and tournament prizes and titles. Society members can run their entire house and holdings on just their annual winnings in tournaments. Small children have been known to win enough to ensure their entire family doesn’t have to work. Weapons of all types are used in duels, and matches, although none are designed to kill. Bringing death upon an opponent who meets you face to face on the battle field is not honorable. Being able to incapacitate an opponent in one swift, graceful, silent movement is a skill many look to earning a title for.

Military: The military here is extensive. Every member of the large city is taught to fight staring at the age of 6 and some parents start training their children early. All members are taught how to kill if necessary, but to incapacitate their opponent as a first choice. Each member of the city knows 6 simple moves that kill, by the time they are 15. There are currently no conflicts here as all neighboring villages were ‘integrated’ into this one large city, years ago.

Ecology: This mostly flat city, is coated in bamboo trees and wide-open fields. The bamboo tries are grown in small, carefully cultivated forests for weapon making, or grown in the untouched wild. This is where the large, indigenous birds live. They are so large, in fact, that they can be ridden by skilled men of the city. These birds are often tamed and used for scouting.

Bamboo Blossom: These small roses bloom out of the joints between bamboo shaft sections. They are usually a pale yellow, or white, and have a sweet, but subtle scent about them. When plucked from the plant, the sticky sap that oozes out can be used as a sealant on weapons made from the bamboo shafts. The powdery pollen, when mixed with the sap, can be made into a sort of paint for signs or designs. The petals themselves are put in hot water and steeped as a tea. And the insects that favor the Bamboo Blossom, make a delicious delicacy when fried and served in grape leaves.

Gates & Bordering Realms: Just a few Gates - One to the Realm of Night’s Adornment. The Realm of Fossil is to the North, the Realm of Pure Heart wraps from the East down to the South, and the Realm of Enduring Fall is to the West and North West.

Here's two facts from the GM Full Disclosure file that were not in the player's write-up on Bamboo City.

NPC’s: Brimming Scimitar and Sinewy Flight hail from here. They are members of the Order of the Eternal Rose.

Well-known Institutions: The Breathless Training Hall - where Strong Wind teaches how to move like the wind.

Pure Heart (Realm, City)

An Everway Realm by Sarah:

Pure Heart (Realm, City)
This is a Realm of health, and not one of modesty. Be prepared to answer any question posed, and never be shy. This place will heal you of every non-lethal ailment, within a year, and may even cure some lethal sicknesses. Of course, you’ll need to bring your bathing suit, because these people don’t wear much more than that, and the ritual cleansings take place in giant pools of spring water.

Usurper Force: The Body
Normal: Health
Inverted: Illness

People: These people embrace the natural state of the world and everything in it - including nudity. Clothing is something worn only to keep the elements at bay. These people find no question to be rude, nor any answer to be improper. Asking questions is the only way to get answers, and why not get answers? Ritual cleansings of the body are an every day thing. The people here pride themselves on their health. Sickness is a sign of poor care and evil, and those who are prone to sickness are shunned and considered to be evil until they are cleansed of their sicknesses.

Economy: This is the premier location for herbal potions for all ailments. Needing something to calm your breath after a hard run? Are your shoes causing a rash? Is sex just not fun anymore? Come here to find brews and powders to aid any handicap, or just to heal cuts after an awful battle.

Ecology: This coastal city is frequented by high winds that whip clothing around, and toss hair about. It lays along a warm water current which welcomes the worn body.

The Heart Rose: This stunning, white rose blooms year round in the most tended to gardens. It is a delicate, but hardy flower. If not attended to, its startling white color fades to a pale pink, as it withers and dies. But when tended to with the most love and care, its bloom is perfect, never having a blemish on it. A simple rain storm can damage this delicate flower, but within a few days of perfect care, it will be brought back to absolute perfect health. These flowers grow in the wild in clusters. When a cluster is found, it is immediately turned into a public sanctuary which the community takes care of. Children grow up wanting to take care of their own bed of roses.

Gates & Bordering Realms: Several Gates - One to the Realm of Opal. The Realm of Corndale is to the West, the Realm of Pasture Days is the North West, and Legs of Ra is to the North.

Pasture Days (Realm)

An Everway Realm by Sarah...

Pasture Days (Realm, Village)

Pasture Days is a peaceful village run by quiet people of no ambition. On the surface, the village has little to offer anyone. They till the fields, and work their farms, and tend the orchards. The make anything they need by hand, and bake their bread in stone ovens heated by sun. They have no metal works, or grand stone structures. They never want anything and give their bountiful foods freely to those who are hungry. They are oppressed, as some would say, by packs of heavily muscled centaurs that roam the lands, taking what they want and never lifting a finger to help.

Usurper Force: The Pack
Normal: Acceptance
Inverted: Rejection

People: Packs of centaurs rule this gentle land. They have no structured society, no grand buildings, no religion, no magics, or special teachings. They rule by Pack, and often the different Packs fight for control of the land. They view the people who work the fields as beasts of burden, taking what they want of the land that they do not till, whenever they please. It is their aggression and shear strength that keeps the human population at bay and working for them. These gentle people are simply known as ‘The Content’. They have tilled the land and let the centaurs take from them for generations. The violent centaurs don’t attack them unless provoked, working much like a Pack of animals would when threatened or hungry. These centaurs do have speech, and communicate quite well when one can get a dialogue with them, but few have since humans are viewed as beasts of burden. Outsiders who visit this calm place are looked down upon by The Content if they try to communicate with the centaurs, as this usually results in the village being attacked, and homes being destroyed. When asked why they won’t fight back or stand up for themselves, The Content simply reply “It is past our days.”

Economy: Agriculture is predominant here as the gently rolling hills and wide, flat plains don’t allow for many forests or mountains to make their presence. All manner of fruit and vegetable are grown here and grains are abundant. Crop rotation is well used here.

Ecology: Open fields and constant sun make this village feel calm and peaceful. The fields and pastures also provide lots of roaming space and room to run. A real sense of freedom comes from the open landscape here. The centaurs that rule here are constantly out in the fields, pastures, and orchards. The fields are theirs to command and they want for nothing. As a result, they grow to large sizes, sometimes weighing in at half a ton.

Rosewood (rose): This rose grows on trees of the strongest wood in the land. When the tree is felled and fashioned into something, the object smells strongly as a sweet rose scent. The wood itself can be a pretty pale brown, slight pink, or deep maroon color. One can tell which color the wood will be by the color of the rose blossoms. This wood is so strong that a shaft of it can spear stone. It is slightly softer when the tree is living, making a dry shaft of this wood the perfect object to fell another Rosewood tree.

Gates & Bordering Realms: No gates. The Realm of Corndale is to the South West, The Realm of Pure Heart is to the South East, and The Realm of Legs of Ra is to the North East.

Flashfire Disclosure

Some notes of Sarah's from the GM Full Disclosure file:
The sky is usually a red-orange color as if there was a permanent sunset glowing over the city.
This is from the constant fire of the dragons roaming the lands and skies freely. There are many different species of Dragon here and some of the bigger varieties feed on the smaller ones. Even though Dragons are rarely seen, they have been known to attack the city.
Gates & Bordering Realms:
At least 5 gates lead from here - One to the Realm of Opal, one to the Sphere of Red Sky, and one to the Realm of Bess’s Nut. The Realm of Earthmaze surrounds it.

FlashFire (Realm, City)

An Everway Realm created by my lovely wife / co-GM, Sarah:

FlashFire (Realm, City)

FlashFire is a grand city always in peril. The city itself was carefully built out of a mountain, but thoughtlessly built in a land of Dragons. Dragon’s are not often seen, and the city is attacked rarely, so in the mean time, powerful mage adepts live here. This what the city is known for. Gateways bring many students here to learn from the powerful mages and trade is a common currency for this expensive art. Come to FlashFire to learn the magic of your choice. Just remember to bring your first-born child as payment.

Usurper Force: DragonFire
Normal: Raw Magical Power
Inverted: Powerful Magic Out of Control

People: Mages populate this grand mountain city. Companions of all animal kinds are popular and are often a status symbol. Those who live here for a year or more and choose not to learn the magical arts, or cannot learn them, are put into prison for life.

Economy: Students travel here to learn magic from adepts. There are so many powerful mages in residence, that one could live here their whole life, learning only the bare minimum each adept had to teach, and still have lessons to learn. The number of students from other realms wishing to learn magic is so high that the cost is often enormous for the first several levels of any magic to be learned. There are rumors that some mages teach for free.

Ecology: This city has been carved out of the mountain it is situated in. This city does not get much precipitation and is usually very dry and warm. A large underground aquifer supplies the city with water . A desert spans around this mountain range and food there is sparse. The mountain has it’s own small supply of animals, such as goats, rabbits, and dragons. The sky is usually a red-orange color as if there was a permanent sunset glowing over the city.

Mage Blossom (rose): This variety of rose has so many uses in this realm that they are cultivated carefully by any adept of great power. They fetch a high price for anyone seeking them on the market, and are hard to find out in the wild. The blooms are characterized by their rose-shaped flame. In the wild, the very base of the flower itself glows white-hot, leading out to yellow, then orange, then red. This is the flower’s most beautiful form. When grown in the city, by mage adepts, it’s center does not glow as hot, only making it orange leading out to red. As the flower is made of pure flame, there are difficulties in plucking the bloom. Only an individual of correct magic, power, or correctly imbued tools can handle the flame. When the flower is plucked from it’s stem the petals quickly cool, and crystallize. The rose can then be used to channel energies, capture or retain magic, or expel powerful magical energies when it is broken. Small, young blossoms that are plucked are made into charms with small blessings or powers in them. This kind of charm retains the original magic energy at full power indefinitely. These crystallized blossoms are very delicate. Dropping one from more than a foot, onto anything as hard, or harder, than soil will break one. Mage Blossoms grown in the wild that die in the wild are not as delicate as those grown in the city. They have been reported as being as hard as diamonds.

Gates & Bordering Realms: Many gates - One to the Realm of Opal. Realm of Earthmaze surrounds it.

Beauteous Sea (Realm, Village)

An Everway Realm designed by Sarah, my wife.

Beauteous Sea (Realm, Village)

Beauteous Sea is a calm fishing village enclosed by a thick forest. This tropical paradise is known for the visions it’s visitors experience while there. They have been described as enlightening, educational, revealing, divine, inspirational, and ominous. Many come here seeking some happiness, comfort, answers, or questions. Often, people go on a pilgrimage here, traveling through the dangerously dense trees, that allow almost no light through them. Some call them ‘The Trees of Night’ and refuse to pass through them in groups any smaller than 10. Only small trails, in the northern forest, made by native animals lead through these timeless trees to the village.

Usurper Force: Sight
Normal: Visions of Beauty Inverted: Visions of Destruction

People: These people are peaceful and quiet. They find simple delights in making trinkets and tools out of the creatures of the sea. Much inspiration comes from the visions they see while on the water, while the visions in the forest keeps them out. A wise, old village elder commands the respect of the villagers. Only those born here and descended from the original founders are considered members of the village.

Economy: This fishing village is very good at their trade. Fish of all kinds live in the waters to the south, making the fishing boats and the small netted fishing traps on shore equally useful. For delicious dishes from the ocean anytime, or trinkets from shells or teeth, come here.

Ecology: This village is a coastal one, with a large body of water to the south, and a forest encapsulating it to the east, west, and north. The waters are temperate year round and the temperature is always quite warm. There is no real winter here, but a kind of ‘Spring’ and ‘Fall’ instead. The temperature only drops to 70( at any point in the year, but can get up to 100(. Rain is common in the ‘Spring’ and ‘Fall’ but the Summer is always humid and hot. Sea life comes in such a variety of Fish, Plants, Crustaceans, etc. that one could eat 3 meals a day for 10 years and easily not have the same meal twice. The largest Sea bounty is whale-sized and the smallest is plankton-sized.

The Ocean Rose: This rose is actually a kind of coral found at the oceans edge. They come in a variety of colors. Most have 3 or more colors that they fade gently into, from one color to the next. When just plucked from the water, and cooked properly, ingesting it brings the consumer such breath-taking visions, the individual falls into a trance for several hours, coming out of it, often in a state of arousal. Some have said that they achieved previously unattainable levels of meditation and personal understanding after such a trance. Others have said that this singular experience is better than any form of mating ritual known to any creature anywhere.

Wooded Spike (rose): This sharp-thorned rose, found only in the woods to the north of the village has a delicious scent that makes those unaware of it’s properties desire to consume it. This is not advisable because of the hideous visions it brings when eaten. It is said that those who travel the pathways through the woods must cover their noses while traveling the small paths, or be lost in the woods forever, having fled the safe paths in shear terror. The complete nature and variety of these visions is not fully known as most who have experienced them have died within a week, and no one has ever conducted experiments to gain more knowledge.

Gates & Bordering Realms: No Gateways. The Realm of Restriction is to the North, and the Realm of Idealism lies to the East.
