site for oddball historical guns. It's especially good for western games, but could inspire a memorable NPC in any game. It has photos of actual functioning oddball guns, mostly concealed weapons, but a few funky barrel arrangements and other eccentricities.

In the novel SOME DANGER INVOLVED, the young enquiry agent (read 'detective') is given a special coat by his boss that has pistols sewn into the pockets, so one puts one's hand in the pocket and lifts up the coat to shoot it.
I'll transcribe the description for you when I have the book on hand.
