Looking out over Atlantis. Playlist: Continuum
When you arrive: You are on a high bluff, overlooking the cold majestic sea. A huge city floats upon the water - on an island too shiny to be natural.
“Behold, Atlantis,” says Jeanne D’Arc, who is standing beside you. Hundreds of others line the cliffs, sharing your view of the most amazing city ever built by man.
The floating fortress begins to glow brighter, with fireworks and a laser-light show above it. It’s as if a giant bubble of air surrounding the city, suddenly transmuted from oxygen into light. No doubt this can be seen for hundreds of miles. And then the city is gone. The displacement of water is so severe, the ocean crashes into the space the city once held.
In small groups, the hundreds of onlookers begin to blink away.
If the PCs fought vs Borik: (Which as it turns out, by the time they got here, they had)
One of the last people to span away is Dale. He walks toward you with great purpose, eyes locked on Izzie. He takes her hands in his, and she looks away.
“We are not permitted to interact anywhere, save perhaps Atlantis,” she tells him.
He holds her hands with his right only, and fluid metal hand of his left gently takes hold of her chin to tilt her eyes to his. “I saw you in 12969 bc, but when I did, I forgot to tell you the most important thing. You, Isabella, are the love of my life, you are the hope that makes all the pain worth enduring.” He kisses her on the lips, and she doesn’t know how to respond. And then, with a pale flicker, he is gone.
Before you leave: Jeanne D’Arc says she will take you briefly to the day before.
