EDIT: What Silence posted a comment that is highly amusing. It's from the point of view of a character he played in a campaign I ran.

My kindest regards for your gift. Of course, we do not have roosters here in Rebma, so the others find it quite amusing. Some are impressed by the fact that the maple syrup is surprisingly usable underwater. Unfortunate that they grew so ill after using it. It doesn't look like Bleys will make it. Perhaps it was something he ate.
The syrup dispenser looks quite attractive sitting behind the impenetrable forcefield in our dungeon. Did I ever mention that our dungeon has a field that makes transformation magics ineffective? It's quite clever, actually. Of course, I'm sure the syrup dispenser is unaffected by such things.
I am pleased to hear that you are recovering from your coma, and the other unfortunate events of the past few months. I would hate to hear that there were any long-term adverse effects of your tribulations. I'm sure the responsible parties will brought to justice.
